- 2026-04-07 08:14: I’ve setup a meet with Claude, Wil Yegelwel’s manager to discuss team options from our last meet on 2025/12/18 where I mentioned interest in joining labs as a Research Engineer. I was under the impression that this happening no matter what because the messaging I’ve been receiving isn’t great. Xiaofans been excluding me from more and more team activities, undermining my time on Research while still trying to get me to do tech debt and administrative cleanup. Most recently when the option for picking up summer intern projects came, I was essentially told to go draft this alone with Wil when he’s back. Now when I spoke to Wil regarding options, he mentioned there’s no slots that are open and so I’d like to confirm with Claude if this is what he foresees for the foreseeable future. If so, I’d like to know now so I don’t get stuck in this middle ground before mid year reviews. Concretely this would mean I’d start speaking with some other teams that have shown interest and I’d speak with HR to officially request this.
