Elite Status & Baggage Rules

The card grants Aeroplan 25K status for the calendar year of opening plus the following year.⁵ This includes priority check-in, Group 2 boarding, 20 eUpgrade credits, and Star Alliance Silver status.⁶ To maintain status beyond the initial period, spend $15,000/yearonthecard.{[}^{1}2]Spending$75,000/year earns 35K status (starting 2026).¹²

Basic Economy exemption: 25K status exempts you from Air Canada’s carry-on restriction on Basic Economy fares, which otherwise allow only a personal item on North American routes.¹⁶
