- Group call where Kevin caught us up on his weekend
- Drove to Guelph to see Mel, an Iranian girl he matched with. Went for a dessert cafe; reported not much of a spark since she was very quiet and conversation took a lot of pulling out of her (I’m jokingly calling her “bbb”, bushy brow bitch, for her very bushy eyebrows)
- After the date, Kevin showed me her art page: heavy wolf obsession with drawings in typical furry style, though she insists she’s not a furry
- In banter that followed, Kevin confirmed his full sex history / body count of 6: 3 one-night stands in first year, 1 in second year, 2019 in 3rd/4th year with an Asian girl until she moved out, and mid-2022 with the 30-year-old Indian girl (his most recent)
- Léa situation (also goes by Gray as their male-preferred name; met at the Hawaii hostel during his April trip, identifies as he/him/she/her): they’d been doing 7+ hour nightly video calls and sexting over the past week
- Last Thursday (2026-05-07): heartfelt conversation about identity. Kevin was torn about the he/him/she/her thing
- Sunday night (2026-05-10): Léa broke it off, saying Kevin reminded them too much of their ex
- Warning signs Kevin missed: Léa was sleeping in the same bed as their ex, was a few months younger than their sister (20), Kevin had promised to buy them Via Rail tickets (~$150 each way), and kept insisting it was short-term despite the 7-hour nightly calls
- Disappearing-messages incident: while I was scrolling Léa’s Instagram messages on Kevin’s phone, Kevin pulled the phone, which made me swipe down and toggle disappearing messages on, notifying Léa that Kevin had messaged. Léa replied; Kevin took up my offered banter line (“looking for tit pictures but couldn’t find any”), which kicked off back-and-forth that consumed Kevin for the rest of our group meet, until he finally said “that was fun but enough”

- Picked up his M2 motorcycle licence at DriveTest that afternoon, then came straight to the group hang. Follows the M1 written test in 2026-03-02 and the course he booked in 2026-03-29
- Group hang at Karachi Pizza in Ridgeway Plaza after Yazan and Yara picked me up from the airport; Medo, Amir, and Kevin met us there
- Kevin walked in looking much skinnier than before, even skinnier than Amir
- Amir put away 10 slices of pizza
- Kevin first told the group about Léa; was heavily sleep-deprived, slightly aggressive and agitated, and clearly uneasy with the gender identity situation while telling us
- On the drive back, Yara told Yazan (Yazan relayed it to me afterwards) that Kevin “isn’t normal” and that she was disgusted when Kevin had said “he saw every part of her body” about Léa

- Going to Hawaii today, left house at 4:15am, and got to airport at 5:45am for 6:30am flight
- Flight layover in SF and then off to Honolulu
- Matching with 3 girls on hinge while he’s on the plane to Hawaii from SF, using the line that he’s on the plane

- Spoke on Discord for a bit
- Told us he booked his motorcycle course

- Spent the evening on Discord chatting and playing Fortnite
- Mentioned he had blocked Sue on Instagram and unfollowed her about 2 hours earlier (~6pm after work)
- Went to Karate around 9pm to say hi since he hadn’t been in a while, then came back and played Fortnite with me and others
- Said he’d be working this Sunday because he agreed to take on some work for his friend Francis in events
- I advised this was probably not a great idea since he’s now signaled to his manager/company that he’s capable of filling that role when needed

- Chatted from 5:30-7pm
- Discussed what occurred last Monday and his situation with Sue
- Kevin better understood the Yazan situation and was able to articulate his positions with Sue and seeing things through
- He ended up not going snowboarding with Sue yesterday because she backed out, but is saying potentially going next Friday
- Spoke about Kai and why he only went to the bar for half an hour

- 2 hour conversation - I checked in because I felt he was irritated Saturday night after we laughed at his painting
- Said he was fine but more disgruntled that the night hadn’t gone as expected for painting and meeting people
- Asked his advice on “wanting to do it” when it comes to doing activities and pushing past his discomfort

- Spoke soon after a painting activity he had signed up for
- Best friend Rajin had recommended it as a good place to meet women after going with his girlfriend and noticing single women there
- I challenged this since my experience had been mostly couples, but Medo who joined the week prior also said he saw a lot of single women
- The couple Kevin was supposed to be paired with didn’t show up, so he got added as a third wheel to another couple and their parents
- Spoke with them a bit but not much, generally felt awkward and unsatisfied with the event
- Very happy with his painting though - a glow in the dark starry night with the moon over a skyline of the sea and mountains
- His sister complimented it and I said it turned out nice too
- Posted the original reference painting in the chat as well - Yazan saw the original first and thought Kevin did it, said it was “amazing”, then called Kevin’s actual paintings shit
- We all laughed but I sensed it irritated Kevin

- Messaged in the morning about waking up early and being dead
- Laughed about how my 4 hours of sleep would be considered a nap by Amir

- Spoke on Discord right after the Simi & Ikjyot Gill bachelor party planning call
- Vented about feeling agitated and left out during the call with Simi and Ikjyot
- Kevin gave helpful advice, said I’m thoughtful and caring - especially the caring part helped since I sometimes feel like an asshole because of lashing out
- Kevin shared awkwardness he’s been experiencing at work with social interactions and wanting to improve
- Discussed strategies together for navigating those social situations

- Completed his M1 written motorcycle test - was happy about it
- Was optimistic about further opportunities with his love interest Sue Kanna (Instagram: suekannan)
- I reviewed his messages with Sue and gave honest feedback: all she’d agreed on was that relationships are tough and she didn’t want to go on a date
- The other niceties were just pleasantries, nothing concrete
- Advised he shouldn’t leave a connection open based on that, especially given his lack of ability to focus

- Got the tech role at TPASC (Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre) — an internal move from the lifeguard/deck side. Work introduced it to all TPASC staff by email in December
- Told the group by text rather than waiting for voice: “I got the job! 😁“. Said he thought he’d be more excited but mostly felt not disappointed — then landed on “Finally in a tech role 🎉”
- Put December 2025 on his resume as the start date deliberately, said it looks better than 2026
- Interview run: Yazan referred him to Medcan in Oct 2025 and he interviewed there, but that’s not where he ended up
- Turned down a gold mining job that opened up Dec 17 — would have paid more, but the TPASC role was better career-wise and he’d already started
- Confirmed with HR that the 5% is on top of salary, not deducted. Also got lucky on retroactive holiday accrual from the start date
- Work is M365 admin (mostly Business Standard, a few E3 for upper management); his manager paired him with the part-time technology/integration/data analytics contractor whose contract ended in Feb

- Long interview run at Medcan off Yazan’s referral — first round early Oct, final round Nov 18 with the managing director
- Said the final went well except one question that threw him: “a year from now, how do we keep you here?”
- Was holding off booking travel until he knew the outcome

- Lifeguard / Life Saving Society track before the tech role landed: CPR recert course Aug 2025 (four ~10h days, part Zoom part pool), passed the timed swim, then pool and dive-meet shifts through the fall
- Noted the Life Saving Society is very archaic — everything still done on paper
- Bought a Steelcase Leap v2 ($525); debated the Atlas headrest at $300 and held off

- Exited IREN entirely — started selling ~35% on Aug 28, last tranche around $48–49 by Sep 24
- Rotating BTC/ETH into S&P 500, buying VOO. Follows on from the consolidation conversation in 2025-08-27

- Called regarding selling Iren and some other investments and then consolidating. Was interested to talk about that process, his final meeting with his therapist and Yazan motivating him by essentially calling him lazy via “idk how you can just do nothing” (he was using it as motivation but I sensed some irritation) and wanting to prove him wrong

- Reached out to me to talk after he had missed his therapist appointment
- Spoke to him that afternoon and he was just going over potentially going every two weeks instead of every week to therapy because it was expensive and because he wasn’t getting a chance to apply everything he was being told.
- Has his internal surgery tomorrow, which I believe to be just an endoscopy of his esophagus because he had indicated he has a hard time eating without water and generally has a smaller throat.
- Result (told the group that evening): it was an endoscopy, and they took tissue. Diagnosed with Grade A erosive esophagitis, with the tissue sent off to test for GERD
- Found out from his dad afterwards that he’d had an immature esophagus as an infant and spat up a lot, though that was at ~8 months old so unclear if it’s related
